In my hometown, where is located in South of China, people eat Tang Yuan(sweet dumplings) on Spring Festival. It means reunion. However, in North of China, people prefer to eat dumplings. What's more, they like to put a coin in one of the dumplings. If you got the one with coin, then you would be the lucky guy in the new year! I did not know that until some of my northern friends told me. They also taught how to make dumplings. We mad not only the dumpling wrapper but also the meat stuffing with our own hands. It was a little hard to make the wrapper and mix the meat. So my task was to fill meat in the wrapper. I had a lot of fun of making dumplings. Thanks to my friends!
